Dear President Miller:                                                         
                                                                               
On May 8, 1998, the Twentieth Alaska State Legislature, acting in              
Joint Session, voted to override the previous veto of:                         
                                                                               
HOUSE CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 307(RLS) am                                      
H An Act relating to conditions for filling                                    
vacancies in the office of United States senator; and                          
providing for an effective date.                                               
                                                                               
Therefore, the following chapter number has been assigned and the              
engrossed and enrolled copies will be transmitted to the Lieutenant            
Governor for permanent filing.
